Support a new wild mission

every month

Each month, your membership funds real Irish projects — from peatlands to wildlife care and more.

The land remembers what once was

Bringing Ireland’s biodiversity back

Ireland’s wild spaces have been shrinking for centuries. Forests cleared. Meadows drained. Habitats pulled apart one field at a time. But nature still knows how to return — it just needs room.

Your membership helps create that space. It supports the restoration of the Atlantic Rainforest, protects nesting sites for birds of prey, revives coastal habitats for seals, and funds recovery work for bees, butterflies, barn owls, and basking sharks. Across forests, fields, and shorelines, you’re helping the land hold on to what’s left — and grow what’s next.

This isn’t a quick fix. It’s slow, careful work. But every month you make it possible — and every season, the wild grows stronger thanks to you.

Carbon out, forests in

Climate action, grown in Ireland

The climate crisis can feel too big to touch with a ten foot pole. But this is one thing you can actually do — and it works.

Your membership supports nature-based solutions that pull carbon from the sky and lock it away for good. Native trees that store it for centuries. Healthy soils that hold it in place. Wetlands that cool the land and bring balance back to broken ecosystems.

It’s simple. It’s effective. And it offsets the average Irish carbon footprint — for less than the cost of a personal pizza each month.

We love pizza. But helping rewild Ireland? That’s a better way to spend it.

Every cent counts

Transparent by nature

Every forest we plant is mapped. You can walk through them, plant a tree, and see the change for yourself. That’s the kind of transparency we believe in — the kind you can touch.

Reforest Nation began in 2020 with me — the person writing this — and my friend. Just two biology students who couldn’t sit back while Ireland’s wild places disappeared. Today, we’re still a small, mostly volunteer team — muddy boots, open maps, and a deep love for nature.

No government grants. No Coillte money. No greenwashing.

We’re here to bring Ireland’s wild heart back — one tree, one forest at a time.

Answers to common questions

FAQ’s

  • Not quite. This is a membership — which means you’re part of something ongoing. You get to vote on what gets funded, track your trees and carbon, and actually see your impact grow over time. It’s more than a gesture. It’s a relationship.

  • You can — and we hope you do. In spring, you’re welcome to join a planting day. In summer, you can visit the forest and see how it’s all taking root. It hits different when you see it for yourself.

  • It is — but no one thing is enough on its own. We all have a responsibility to make better choices in our own lives: travel less, waste less, consume less. This membership doesn’t replace that, and it’s not about doing everything perfectly.

What it does is take you a step further. By restoring forests, wetlands, and native ecosystems, it helps remove carbon that’s already in the atmosphere. It’s one of the few ways to go beyond just reducing your footprint — and actually become climate positive.

  • Each month, you help guide which Irish project your membership supports — from planting forests to protecting wildlife. You’re not just supporting change. You’re part of the community making it happen.

  • No problem. You can stop anytime. But everything you’ve helped grow — the trees, the projects, the impact — keeps going. Nature doesn’t roll back.

  • Every month, your membership plants certified native Irish trees — and supports a different environmental project somewhere in Ireland, from wildlife care to habitat restoration. We only work with trusted partners, and you get to help vote on what gets funded.

You’ll also get a live dashboard showing exactly what you’ve supported — trees planted, land restored, carbon absorbed — so nothing’s hidden behind a glossy report. This is rewilding you can actually see.
